Matchday 20 of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League reinforced the intensity of the title race as the leading contenders all registered important victories over the weekend to keep the battle finely poised.
With just two matches remaining, the race for the title is now set for a tense conclusion, with She Corporate FC and Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC maintaining their strong runs and refusing to drop points at a decisive stage of the season.
She Corporate FC continue to hold the advantage at the summit with 50 points, while Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC remain within close reach on 48 points, ensuring that the destination of the title will likely be decided in the final rounds of the campaign.

She Corporate FC secured a crucial 2-1 victory over St Noa Girls FC at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, in a tightly contested encounter.

The opening half was evenly balanced, with both teams showing attacking intent. St Noa Girls FC enjoyed spells of controlled possession and came closest to breaking the deadlock midway through the half, but goalkeeper Molly Naava Nabitaka produced a fine save to deny Marion Serenge.
She Corporate also threatened, with Sandra Kisakye testing Lillian Nakirya from distance, while both sides remained organised defensively to ensure the contest stayed goalless at the break.
The hosts returned with greater urgency after halftime and were rewarded just two minutes into the second half. Rebecca Nakato reacted quickest to convert from close range after Jesca Namanda’s effort had struck the upright, giving She Corporate a 1-0 lead.
She Corporate continued to assert control and doubled their advantage in the 65th minute. Jesca Namanda rose highest to meet Komuntale’s delivery and finished clinically to cap a dominant spell.
St Noa Girls FC responded in the 80th minute through Marion Serenge, who finished off a clever assist from substitute Esther Nabuuso to set up a tense finale.
The closing stages were marked by end-to-end action, with Serenge denied an equaliser in a one-on-one by Molly Naava, while Namanda missed a chance to extend the lead at the other end.
She Corporate held firm through added time to secure maximum points in a hard-fought contest.

Molly Naava Nabitaka was named Player of the Match following a composed performance highlighted by crucial saves at key moments.
Speaking after the match, Naava emphasised the importance of teamwork in securing the result.
‘We are playing as a team. At this stage, every game is like a final. The opponents put us under pressure in the closing minutes, but we stayed organised and worked for each other. Winning Player of the Match is good motivation,’ she noted.
Elsewhere, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC kept pace in the title race with a 2-1 victory over Rines SS WFC at Kawempe Muslim SS Playground. The two sides went into the break level at 1-1 after Jovia Nakagolo’s opener was cancelled out by Yasmeen Nalukwago.
Kawempe showed resilience in the second half, with Agnes Nabukenya scoring the decisive goal to secure all three points and keep her side within two points of the leaders, setting up a tense end to the season.
At Katusabe Ground in Masindi, Kampala Queens FC returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Lady Doves FC. Jamirah Nabulime and Joanitah Ainembabazi scored for Kampala Queens, while Nakiguude Sharifah found the net for Lady Doves. Maureen Kimono impressed and was named Player of the Match.


In Wankulukuku, She Maroons FC and Uganda Martyrs FC played out a 1-1 draw. Sarah Nakuya gave Uganda Martyrs the lead in the 32nd minute before Doreen Nakayiwa equalised early in the second half for She Maroons. Lilian Mutuuzo was named Player of the Match.

Amus College WFC delivered the most emphatic result of the round with a 4-0 victory over Olila High School WFC at Amus College Stadium in Bukedea. Shayline Opisa scored a hat-trick, while Mariam Namataka added the fourth goal to seal a dominant performance. Opisa was named Player of the Match.
Matchday 20 concluded on Sunday at Kampala Quality Ground, where Makerere University WFC secured a 2-1 victory over Asubo Ladies FC in a tightly contested encounter. Sherina Nantongo gave Asubo Ladies FC hope with a goal, but Allen Nassazi and Nabede Fungo responded to fire Makerere University WFC to another important win.

The result extends Makerere University WFC’s strong run of form at a crucial stage of the season as they continue to build momentum in the closing stretch.
