URA Ladies FC and Jinja United WFC have secured promotion to the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League 2026/27 after sealing top spot in their respective groups of the FUFA Women Elite League with one match remaining.
Jinja United WFC confirmed promotion with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Highway Ladies in Mbale during the penultimate round of the Victoria Group on Saturday. The win lifted the Jinja-based side to 29 points, an unassailable lead over second-placed UCU Lady Cardinals, who remain on 25 points with one fixture left to play.
At Kawempe Muslim SS Ground, URA Ladies FC also sealed promotion on Saturday courtesy of a 1-0 victory over UPDF WFC. Cynthia Kirenga scored the decisive goal as the Tax Collectors moved to 38 points, opening a five-point lead over second-placed Boni Consili Girls Vocational School in the Elizabeth Group with one match remaining.
The two clubs will make their maiden appearances in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League, marking a historic achievement for both sides.
Before embarking on life in the top flight, URA Ladies FC and Jinja United WFC will face off in the FUFA Women Elite League playoff to determine the 2025/26 league champions.
They replace Asubo Ladies FC and Olila High School WFC, who were relegated from the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League at the end of the 2025/26 season.
