A total of 22 schools participating in the CAF African Schools Football Championship national qualifiers have received official CAF match balls ahead of the competition scheduled to take place in Gulu from 8th to 16th July 2026.
The equipment was handed over by FUFA Executive Committee Member Dan Obote, with each school receiving 10 official CAF match balls, bringing the total number distributed to 220.
The support is aimed at ensuring participating teams have access to quality match equipment as they compete in the qualifiers organised by the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA).
The winner of the national qualifiers will represent Uganda at the CAF African Schools Football Championship CECAFA Qualifiers 2026 in Rwanda.
The initiative is part of the continued collaboration between the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) and Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA), aimed at supporting the development of school football through improved access to quality match equipment.
The participating schools appreciated the support and expressed readiness to compete for the opportunity to represent Uganda at the regional stage.
