Defending champions Kampala City BSC retained the FUFA Beach Soccer League title after defeating St Lawrence University BSC 5-2 in the final of the 2025/26 season at Bamboo Gardens Beach Soccer Arena, Kasanje.
Kampala City BSC finished top of the regular season standings with 33 points from 14 matches. They won 11 matches, scored 81 goals and conceded 36 to finish ahead of St Lawrence University BSC, MUBS BSC and Mutoola BSC, who also qualified for the Play-Offs.
In the first semi-final, Kampala City BSC defeated Mutoola BSC 8-4 to reach the final. Edweu Godfrey scored six goals while Nkuubi Brian scored twice for Kampala City BSC. Mutoola BSC’s goals were scored by Kirya Samson, Nsenge Paul and Mukwata Peter, with Nsenge Paul scoring twice.
St Lawrence University BSC secured their place in the final with a 5-3 victory over MUBS BSC in the second semi-final. Kikambi Martin scored once while Ssimbwa Swaleh and Lukyamuzi Paul each scored twice for St Lawrence University BSC. MUBS BSC’s goals came through Magumba Stuart, Mbabazi Worrick Joe and Bingana Malik.
MUBS BSC finished third after defeating Mutoola BSC 4-2 in the third-place play-off. Bingana Malik and Mbabazi Worrick Joe each scored twice for MUBS BSC while Kakwaya Swaibu scored both goals for Mutoola BSC.
In the final, Kampala City BSC defeated St Lawrence University BSC 5-2 to be crowned champions. Hassan Ali scored once while Opuuli Sharif and Edweu Godfrey each scored twice for Kampala City BSC. St Lawrence University BSC’s goals were scored by Kikonyogo Jonathan and Lubega Sharif.
Following the conclusion of the season, Opuuli Sharif of Kampala City BSC was named the Most Valuable Player. Edweu Godfrey of Kampala City BSC finished as the league’s Top Scorer while Omedwa Rogers of Kampala City BSC was named Best Goalkeeper. Zzinda Ali of MUBS BSC received the Best Coach award and Mengo Hill BSC were recognised as the Fair Play Team.
The FUFA Beach Soccer League Team of the Season comprised Omedwa Rogers (Kampala City BSC), Opuuli Sharif (Kampala City BSC), Mukwata Peter (Mutoola BSC), Ssendi Joseph (Buganda Royal Institute BSC) and Edweu Godfrey (Kampala City BSC).
