The FUFA Big League resumes this weekend with the start of the second round, as clubs return to action for Matchday 16 on 21st and 22nd February 2026.
After a break following the conclusion of the first round, attention now shifts to a decisive phase of the season where consistency will be key in the race for promotion and survival. Leaders Blacks Power FC begin their second-round campaign away to Young Elephant FC at Elephant Park in Nwoya, in a fixture that will test their title credentials.
Elsewhere, Kigezi Homeboyz FC travel to face Kaaro Karungi FC, while Ntugasaze FC host Nebbi Central FC in Mityana. Fourth-placed Bunyaruguru United FC will be on the road against Kataka FC in Mbale.
In other fixtures, Soltilo Bright Stars FC visit CATDA FC at Bugolobi Coffee Grounds, as Paidha Black Angels SC take on Mbale Heroes FC at Bar Okoro Stadium.
Iganga United FC host Onduparaka FC, while Wakiso Giants FC face Kiyinda Boys FC at Wakisha Recreation Ground.
Top scorers at the start of the second round
The race for the golden boot remains competitive heading into the second round. Jimmy Ndalambi of Kiyinda Boys FC leads the scoring charts with 11 goals, setting the benchmark for the rest of the field.
He is followed by Gerald Ogweti of Bunyaruguru United FC with eight goals, while a group of players are tied on seven goals, including Isaac Gumperom of Young Elephant FC, Tevin Kevin Kyeyune of CATDA FC, Hakiramu Shafiq Muzanyi of Mbale Heroes FC and Sabir Edema of Nebbi Central FC.
A further cluster of players remain within striking distance on six goals, among them Kenneth Lukyamuzi of Ntugasaze FC, Walter Rubangakene of Kaaro Karungi FC and Bashir Mutanda of Wakiso Giants FC.
With several forwards in form, the battle for the top scorer accolade is expected to intensify as the second round progresses.
