Action from the FUFA Drum round 16 continued over the weekend with matchday 3 that saw teams lock horns in the return leg to determine which teams storm the quarter finals.

Kampala 3-0 Bukedi

Kampala eased past last edition’s finalists Bukedi 3-0 at Bugoloobi grounds. Defender Derrick Ngobi broke the deadlock in the early stages of the game before Martin Kizza bagged a brace to see the Fred Kajoba side sail through to the quarters on 4-1 aggregate.

Kizza went on to scoop the man of the match gong.

Acholi 1-0 Bunyoro

At a fully packed Pece Stadium, the hosts put up a spirited show against a highly resilient Bunyoro and won 1-0 thanks to a Huud Mulikyi second half strike that sent the crowds wild.

Mulikyi performance saw him take home the Man of the match award.

Buganda 2-1 Kigezi

In another highly anticipated tie, Buganda fought from minute one at Nakisunga grounds.

Usual suspect Viane Ssekajugo broke the deadlock before Dickson Niwamanya restored parity with a thumping header from a Micheal Birungi corner.

Aware that the one all draw would guarantee Kigezi a place in the quarters, the David Mutono side squeezed to the second goal that finally came from a free kick by Joshua Lubwama in the second stanza.

Ssekajugo was eventually named man of the match.
