The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) is saddened by the passing of former footballer and administrator, and music legend Mr. Moses Matovu, who died today.
Matovu, a former player for Nakivubo Boys (now SC Villa), Express FC and Police FC, will be remembered for his passion and dedication to Ugandan football.
Matovu served as SC Villa Treasurer from 2013 to 2014, and at the time of his death, he was one of the Trustees of SC Villa.
FUFA President Hon. Moses Magogo, the FUFA Executive Committee, Members of FUFA, Secretariat and the entire football fraternity extend sincere condolences to his family, relatives, friends and the SC Villa fraternity.
We have lost a man who loved football to the core. Matovu lived, breathed and served football and music in every capacity and above all, he loved his club Sc Villa and the Uganda Cranes. His commitment to the club and to Ugandan football was selfless and unwavering.
