Updated 17th July 2026

FUFA’s induction and orientation programme for the newly appointed Regional General Secretaries is underway, with the Federation engaging football leaders across the country as part of its continued efforts to strengthen football administration, governance and service delivery.

The nationwide programme, which commenced in Kitara Region on 14th July 2026, is being led by FUFA Executive Committee Member Deo Mutabazi, Chief Executive Officer Edgar Watson and coordinated by Member Relations Director Hajati Aisha Nalule.

The initiative is aimed at equipping the new Regional General Secretaries with a clear understanding of FUFA’s governance structures, operational procedures and strategic priorities while reinforcing collaboration between the Federation and its Member Associations.

The Regional General Secretaries will play a key role in coordinating football activities within their respective regions and acting as the link between the FUFA Secretariat and football leadership at regional, provincial and district levels.

The programme has also brought together Regional FA Chairpersons, Provincial Chairpersons and District Chairpersons to discuss football development, governance and service delivery in their respective areas.
