Enyimba F.C (Nigeria) 2-0 Vipers S.C (Uganda)
Enyimba F.C Progresses 2-1 on aggregate
Uganda’s representatives in the CAF Champions league, Vipers Sports Club lost 2-0 to their Nigerian counterparts, Enyimba F.C at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium in Port Harcourt on Sunday.
After resisting for the opening 31 minutes of the game, Vipers fell behind to Mfon Udoh’ s penalty as the Nigerians leveled the aggregate scores.
The same striker (Udoh) returned with the second goal on the evening with a 62nd winner.
Despite Vipers’ attempts to pull a goal back, the Nigerian champions remained tight at the back line.
The result means that Vipers bow out of the championship 2-1 on aggregate since they won the first leg in Kampala 1-0.
Enyimba F.C is now set to play Burundian Champions, Vital’o at the next stage (first round).
They are set to return on Tuesday.
