The Uganda Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) PAMOJA 2027 has encouraged Ugandan businesses to register for supplier pre-qualification as preparations for the continental showpiece continue.
The call was made during a media briefing held at the Uganda Media Centre in Kampala on Wednesday 22nd July 2026, where the LOC outlined the ongoing supplier registration exercise aimed at identifying businesses that will be eligible to participate in future procurement processes for the tournament.
Chairperson of the LOC Communications and Promotions Sub-Committee, Dr. Dennis K. Mugimba, said the Request for Information (RFI) exercise is intended to establish a pool of qualified suppliers who can support the organisation and delivery of AFCON PAMOJA 2027.
‘We invite all qualified, experienced and reputable potential suppliers to register their interest by undertaking the pre-qualification process. This is an opportunity for Ugandan businesses to become part of delivering one of the biggest sporting events ever hosted in our region,’ Dr. Mugimba said.
The supplier registration exercise, which is being conducted through the Uganda Tournament Management System (TOMAS) https://afconpamoja.ug/tomas/suppliers/register, began earlier this month and will close at the end of July. Businesses that successfully complete the process will be considered for competitive bidding when procurement opportunities are opened later this year.
According to the LOC, opportunities are expected across several sectors including hospitality, catering, transport and logistics, information and communication technology (ICT), media and communications, digital production, branding, medical services, safety and security, event management, consultancy, documentary production, fan zone management, souvenir production and office supplies, among others.
Eligible applicants must be legally registered in Uganda, compliant with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) requirements, tax compliant and able to demonstrate relevant experience and good performance records.
Dr. Mugimba noted that the procurement process will be guided by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Procurement Policy and Uganda’s commitments under the AFCON PAMOJA 2027 Host Agreement.
‘The procurement process will be conducted in accordance with the CAF Procurement Policy and Uganda’s obligations under the AFCON PAMOJA 2027 Host Agreement,’ he said.
The LOC also reiterated that supplier registration is free of charge and urged interested businesses to complete the online pre-qualification process before the deadline.
Uganda will co-host the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON PAMOJA 2027 together with Kenya and Tanzania, with preparations continuing across infrastructure, operations and tournament planning as East Africa readies to stage the continent’s biggest football event.
