The Federation of Uganda Football Associations will host a Media Engagement on Club Licensing on Tuesday, 14th July 2026 at FUFA Stadium, Kadiba from 10am-1pm.
The engagement is part of FUFA’s preparations for the 2026/27 season and aims to equip journalists with accurate information on the Club Licensing process and its role in professionalising football in Uganda.
Club Licensing is a key pillar of FUFA’s strategic plan aimed at improving club administration, infrastructure, and overall standards in Ugandan football.
The session will provide journalists with first-hand updates on the criteria, timelines and requirements for the upcoming season, as well as the operational and legal implications for clubs and competitions.
Topics will include presentations on why Club Licensing matters in professionalising club football, the role of Club Licensing in building quality clubs, a sponsor’s perspective on Club Licensing, technical briefing on the 2026/27 season-criteria, timelines, sanctions, appeals process, and common pitfalls and the operational impact of Club Licensing on FUFA Calendar and competitions.
