FUFA provides 30 return air tickets to Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC ahead of CAF Women’s Champions League 2026

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has supported Uganda and CECAFA champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC with 30 return air tickets to Cairo, Egypt, ahead of the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League, scheduled for 1–15 November.

The support, approved by the FUFA Executive Committee, is aimed at facilitating the travel of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League champions and reflects FUFA’s continued commitment to the development of women’s football in Uganda since the league’s inception in 2015.

FUFA Corporate Affairs Director, Ahmed Hussein said the support demonstrates the Federation’s commitment to helping Ugandan clubs represent the country on the continental stage.

“The Federation has been intentional about the development of women’s football in Uganda. FUFA’s provision of 30 return air tickets to Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC reflects our commitment to supporting Ugandan clubs as they represent the country on the continental stage. We wish the team every success in Egypt and believe they will make Uganda proud,” said Hussein.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC secured their sixth Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League title in the 2025/26 season, finishing with 52 points, one ahead of runners-up She Corporate FC, who collected 51 points. Their latest triumph adds to previous league titles won in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2024.

The Ugandan champions made history by becoming the first team from the country to qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League after defeating Kenya Police Bullets 1-0 in the final of the CECAFA qualifiers held in Kigali, Rwanda. The victory secured their place as representatives of Uganda and the CECAFA region.

Kawempe have been drawn in Group B alongside Morocco’s AS FAR, Mali’s USFAS Bamako and the representative from the WAFU B zone.
