SC Villa head coach Zeljko Kovacevic and Kitara FC assistant coach Wasswa Bbosa have expressed confidence ahead of the 2026 Stanbic Uganda Cup final scheduled for Saturday at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The two tacticians addressed the media on Thursday at Kati Kati Restaurant in Lugogo ahead of the highly anticipated fixture. Both highlighted preparation, teamwork and determination as their respective teams seek domestic cup glory.
Kovacevic anticipates tough contest
Kovacevic acknowledged the quality within the Kitara FC setup but maintained that SC Villa are ready to fight for the trophy.
‘We expect a difficult game but shall play with confidence. The approach will be different from the last games. We shall go for it,’ he stated.
Kitara focused on teamwork
Bbosa emphasised teamwork and discipline as the key ingredients behind Kitara FC’s impressive run to the final.
‘We shall play as a team in this final. We have had a different approach for every game we have played,’ Bbosa noted.
The final will kick off at 3pm at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, with the winner earning the right to represent Uganda in the CAF Confederation Cup.
