Two out of the five key strategic pillars of FUFA Vision 2025–2029, Sport and Consolidation, are aimed at strengthening the Technical Master Plan and securing the legacy of football development in Uganda.
The sport pillar focuses on enhancing technical capacity and player development structures, while Consolidation seeks to sustain progress through continuous learning, knowledge sharing and strong institutional systems that support the long-term growth of the game.
In line with this vision, FUFA Football Development Director Bashir Mutyaba, Uganda Cubs Head Coach Laryea Kingston and Assistant Coach Steven Bengo are participating in the FIFA Talent Development Scheme (TDS) Youth National Teams’ Coaches Exchange taking place in Zanzibar from 27th to 30th July 2026.
The four-day programme brings together Technical Directors and Youth National Team coaches from FIFA Member Associations across Africa to exchange knowledge, share experiences and discuss best practices in elite youth player development within the framework of the FIFA Talent Development Scheme.
The exchange provides an opportunity for participants to strengthen their technical expertise, explore innovative approaches to youth player development and learn from the experiences of other Member Associations across the continent.
FUFA’s participation reflects its continued commitment to investing in coach education and technical development as part of the implementation of the Technical Master Plan.
The knowledge and experiences gained through the programme will further support the development of Uganda’s youth national teams and contribute to building a sustainable pathway for future generations of football talent.
