FUFA, with deep sorrow, announces the passing of the mother of our President, Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim, Nakisuyi Ruth Biribawa Safia who departed this life on 8th April 2026 at Kampala Hospital.
This loss comes at a particularly difficult time following the recent passing of his dear aunt (Maama Nuulu).
The entire football fraternity is profoundly saddened by these successive bereavements.
FUFA extends its heartfelt condolences to Hon. Magogo, the Rt. Hon. Speaker Annet Anita Among for the loss of her mother in law, family, friends and people of Budiope East during this trying period.
The vigil will be held at the family’s ancestral home in Kagulu, Buyende, on Thursday 9th April 2026, and the burial will take place in Buyende on Friday 10th April 2026.
FUFA humbly calls upon the football family and the general public to keep the President and his family in prayer during this time of grief.
May the soul of the departed Maama rest in eternal peace.
