FIFA U17 WWCQ: Nabalanzi Praises Tactical Progress in Teen Cranes Preparations

Teen Cranes midfielder Nabalanzi Tracy has praised the team’s steady progress in camp, highlighting the growing tactical understanding as preparations for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026 qualifiers gather momentum.

The Uganda U-17 Women’s National Team remains in a residential camp at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, where the technical team continues to fine-tune key aspects of play ahead of the upcoming double-header against Zimbabwe.

Speaking after the morning training session, Nabalanzi emphasised the focus on progressive football, effective use of wide areas and improved movement in the attacking third.

‘Today’s training was good. The coach focused on teaching us progressive football and using the wide areas, and also how strikers can create space in the final third,’ she said.

The URA Ladies FC midfielder also commended the environment in camp, noting its positive impact on the team’s overall preparation and readiness.

‘The camp is really good and the environment is putting us in good shape as we prepare for the forthcoming game,’ she added.

The Teen Cranes are undergoing intensive sessions aimed at building cohesion, sharpening tactical awareness and improving match fitness as they gear up for the crucial qualifiers.

Uganda will face Zimbabwe U-17 Women’s National Team in a two-legged tie scheduled for 11th and 18th April 2026, with the aggregate winner progressing to the next round of the qualifiers.
