The round of 16 in the Stanbic Uganda Cup has concluded, setting the stage for the quarter-final draw that will determine the next match-ups.
Seven of the eight clubs that progressed to the quarter-finals are from the StarTimes Uganda Premier League, showing dominance of top-flight sides at this stage of the competition. The only non-top-tier side in the last eight is Happy Boys FC Kagaba, who continue to impress as the sole representative from the regional league.
Defending winners Vipers SC remain firmly in contention following a commanding 4-0 victory over Iganga United FC in the round of 16. The Kitende-based side will be aiming to retain the trophy they won in the previous edition after defeating KCCA FC in the final.
Other notable results saw Kitara FC register a 6-0 win over Bunyaruguru United FC, KCCA FC cruise past Onduparaka FC with a 5-0 victory, and Express FC advance with a 4-0 triumph over Red Devo FC. NEC FC, SC Villa, and URA FC also secured their places in the quarter-finals.
