The Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League returns this weekend with renewed intensity after a long break, as the 2025/26 shifts into the decisive phase of the season. Six fixtures are lined up across Saturday and Sunday, setting the stage of what promises to be a thrilling weekend of action.

After a tightly contested first round, record champions Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC lead the standings with 28 points from 11 matches, closely followed by She Corporate FC on 26. Defending champions Kampala Queens FC remain firmly in contention with 21 points, with only few points separating the top sides, the second round is set up for an exciting battle for the title.

Saturday’s action will see She Maroons FC host Amus College WFC at Luzira Prison Grounds in what promises to be a closely contested mid-table clash. Both teams are tied on 15 points and will be aiming for maximum points to boost their chances of breaking into the top four.

League leaders Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC will be on the road at Muteesa 11 Stadium where they will face St Noa Girls FC, having shown consistency throughout the first round with nine wins, the valley warriors will be keen to maintain momentum against a resilient St. Noa that sits on 13 points.

At St. Geralds Grounds, Lubaga, Uganda Martyrs H/S Lubaga WFC take on Lady Doves FC, while Olila H/S WFC host Makerere University WFC at Olila Grounds in Soroti. Both fixtures offer opportunities for teams to gain important points as the second round gets underway.

On Sunday, third-placed Kampala Queens FC entertain Rines SS WFC at MTN Omondi Stadium. The queens will be targeting maximum points to close the gap on top, while Rines, currently on 11 points, aim to climb away from the danger zone.

Second placed She Corporate FC wrap up the weekend with a trip to Kampala Quality Ground to face Asubo Ladies FC, who sit second from bottom on four points and are fighting to revive their season.

The golden boot race is equally shaping up to be one of the highlights of the season. Catherine Nagadya of Kampala Queens FC leads the charts with nine goals, while Jesca Namanda of She Corporate is close behind on eight, setting up an exciting battle for the league’s top scorer as the second round gets underway.

With the table tightly packed at both ends, the second round promises exciting action. Fans can expect intense battles as the top teams compete for the title while sides at the drop zone fight to stay in the league.
