The Uganda U-20 Women’s National Team, the Queen Cranes, will return to action on Saturday 14th February at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, Zambia, in the return leg of the third round of the FIFA U‑20 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, with kick-off scheduled for 3.00 PM local time (4.00 PM EAT).
The team held their final training session this afternoon at the same venue as preparations intensified for the decisive clash. Speaking to the media during a press conference, Head Coach Sheryl Botes expressed confidence in her squad.
‘This is the first time we are playing Zambia U-20 here. We have worked on all tactical aspects and studied Zambia. I also know that Zambia has studied us, so we will wait until tomorrow and see what happens,’ Botes said.
Team captain Agnes Nabukenya highlighted the team’s readiness and her determination to make an impact.
‘I hope we score many goals. It is not easy to score against Zambia, but as we all know in football anything is possible. As players of Uganda, we are going to give our best,’ Nabukenya said.
The Queen Cranes head into the return leg following a 1–1 draw in the first leg at FUFA Stadium Kadiba.
The aggregate winner of this tie will face the winner between Ghana and South Africa in the final qualification round.
