The Uganda National Beach Soccer Team- Sand Cranes has on Thursday afternoon been drawn in group A ahead of the 2021 Beach soccer Africa cup of Nations to be held in Senegal that will take place from 23rd-29th May 2021.
The Salim Jamal Muwonge coached side is placed with hosts Senegal, two neighbors Tanzania and Democratic Republic of Congo.
Speaking shortly after the draw, the head coach Muwonge had this to say;
“It is a tough group that has hosts Senegal. We know alot about Tanzania as we have played with them before and for DR Congo we are going to immediately embark on researching about them and our target is to qualify for the World Cup.
The Sand Cranes will play their first match at the tournament against Tanzania before tussling it out with Senegal and DR Congo respectively.
Egypt, Mozambique, Morocco and Seychelles are the other Nations that complete the tournament in group B.
