Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) football club stretched their lead at the summit of the Azam Uganda Premier league with a well worked out 2-0 victory over Jinja Municipal Council Hippos on Saturday.
Team captain, Fred Okot Oola led by example with the game opener before forward, Derrick Nsibambi sealed the victory with a second half strike in the 64th minute.
At the Kavumba Recreational stadium, Soana defeated URA 2-1. Veteran striker, Hamis Kitagenda scored twice on the day with Nicholas Kagaba pulling one back for the tax collectors’ club.
Midfielder, Moses Ali Feni missed a penalty that would have helped URA earn a point.
In the much awaited Wankulukuku derby, Express overcame Lweza 2-0 courtesy of Tonny Odur’s brace.
Lweza finished with ten men when former Uganda Cranes left back was sent off for two bookable offences.
Nasser Muzamiru scored the winner for Sadolin Paints over Maroons at the Bugembe stadium.
