FUFA has today held an engagement with coaches of Uganda Premier League clubs as it continues consultations with key stakeholders on a strategy aimed at improving the future of football in the country.
The meeting was organised by the FUFA Football Development Department at FUFA Hotel in Kisaasi in coordination with the Uganda Football Coaches Association (UFCA). The engagement forms part of a broader consultative process that has already seen FUFA interact with other stakeholders across the game.
Also in attendance were Ronnie Kalema, the Executive Secretary of Football Development, Livingstone Kyambadde, the Chairman of UFCA, and Paul Put, the Uganda Cranes Head Coach.
In his opening remarks, FUFA President Hon. Magogo Moses Hassim emphasised the importance of inclusive dialogue in shaping the federation’s strategic direction.

‘We are here to engage. There is a lot going on at the federation so we thought it wise to update you on what is happening,’ he stated.
He noted that FUFA has already engaged academy owners and directors and will continue consultations with referees, players, fans, the media and government, stressing that the success of the strategy depends on collective input.
‘We have called you here to hear your views on what we are doing and to listen to you as key stakeholders in the game,’ he added.
The FUFA President further urged coaches to embrace technology and continuous learning in order to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving global football environment.
‘The better the game, the better for all of us. As coaches, you have a very big role to play, so let us keep improving ourselves,’ he noted.
He concluded by encouraging professionalism and excellence among coaches, highlighting that quality work creates opportunities.
‘Make your job good and they will look for you wherever you are. Be good and they will pay you well. We are as good as what we put on the table.’
