FUFA strengthens Busoga Kingdom football with 60 Zakayo balls

FUFA has strengthened its support for football development in Busoga Kingdom with the donation of 60 Quality Zakayo balls worth UGX 6 million.

The balls were handed over by FUFA 2nd Vice President Dr. Azah Taibu at FUFA Complex and received by the 2nd Deputy Prime Minister of Busoga Kingdom, Owek. Osman Ahmed Noor.

The support is part of FUFA’s continued efforts to promote and strengthen mass football through competitions and programmes that expand participation at different levels of the game.

Under the FUFA Strategic Plan 2025–2029, the Federation places emphasis on the development of football through structured competitions and initiatives guided by the FUFA Technical Master Plan. Competitions such as the Masaza Cup provide an important platform for mobilising communities and creating opportunities for players to participate and develop.

The provision of quality playing equipment is therefore part of FUFA’s broader commitment to creating an enabling environment for football development across the country.

The partnership with Busoga Kingdom also reflects FUFA’s commitment to working with stakeholders, including cultural institutions, to advance the growth of football and strengthen community participation in the game.

The 60 Zakayo balls will support football activities in Busoga Kingdom, contributing to wider efforts to make quality football equipment available to players and communities.

FUFA continues to engage different stakeholders in implementing its football development agenda and expanding opportunities for participation across Uganda.
