FIFA U17 WWCQ: CAF confirms referees for Zimbabwe, Uganda match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has confirmed the match officials who will take charge of the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers first-round encounter between Zimbabwe and Uganda.

The first-leg fixture will be played on Sunday, 12th April 2026 at the Ngoni Stadium in Harare, with kick-off set for 3:00 PM local time in Harare and 4:00 PM East Africa Time.

South African referee Nandipha Menze has been appointed as the center referee for this encounter.

She will be assisted by compatriot Nonjabulo Nonhle Ndlela as the first assistant referee, while Margarete Gimo from Mozambique will serve as the second assistant referee.

Hloniphile Msezane has been named the fourth official.

Meanwhile, Teresa Ouko Calleb from Kenya will serve as the match commissioner, with Fransiska Katjaimo of Namibia taking on the role of referee assessor.

This fixture marks the first leg of the first round of the qualification campaign, as both sides seek a place at the 2026 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, scheduled to take place in October in Morocco.

The Teen Cranes have been in camp since 30th March 2026 under the guidance of head coach Sheryl Ulanda Botes at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, and will be aiming for a strong result away from home before hosting the return leg on 18th April 2026 at the FUFA Stadium, Kadiba.
