Kawempe Muslim SS and Jinja SS were dominant on Matchday One of the Girl’s category in the ongoing CAF African Schools Championship-Uganda.
Jinja SS registered the biggest win in the games played on Thursday at FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru, obliterating Standard High School with a 7-0 scoreline.

The convincing win coupled with a goalless draw against King of Kings College meant Jinja SS finished day one top of group A
In the same group, Amus College got mixed results, first defeating Standard High School 4-0 before losing 2-1 to Rines SS in the afternoon.

Kawempe Muslim SS took early charge of Group B winning their two games.
In the first game, Kawempe edged Royal College Namugongo 2-1 thanks to Agnes Nabukenya’s brace that cancelled out Hadija’s Babirye goal for the latter.

Nabukenya once again came to the rescue of Kawempe Muslim, bagging a hat trick as they came from a goal down to win 3-1 against neighbours Gadafi Integrated Academy.

Royal College Namugongo recovered from Kawempe’s loss to win 5-0 against Uganda Martyrs High School.
Action continues on Friday with matchday two fixtures.
The top two schools in each group will advance to the semifinal.
