Algeria Vs Uganda – 10:00pm (EAT)
Uganda Cranes head coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has named the team to face Algeria in the first game of the 2023 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
Uganda Cranes will seek to get off the mark on a positive note against the 2019 AFCON Champions at the 5 July 1962 Stadium in Algiers.
Charles Lukwago starts in goal with Gavin Kizito Mugweri and Isaac Muleme playing as the right and left backs respectively. The centre back pairing has Halidi Lwaliwa and Bevis Mugabi.
In a 4-3-3 system, the midfield trio has Khalid Aucho, Marvin Youngman and Allan Okello.
Skipper Emmanuel Okwi will play as the center forward, getting support from Milton Karisa and Faruku Miya.
