She Corporate FC and UCU Lady Cardinals continued with their blistering start to the 2021/22 FUFA Women Super League season after picking victories on matchday two.
The aforementioned mentioned teams won their respective games on matchday two with UCU Lady Cardinals fighting hard to beat She Maroons while She Corporate on the other hand stunned Kawempe Muslim.
In Mukono, UCU Lady Cardinals dug deep to overcome new comers She Maroons thanks to Hasifa Nassuna’s first half strike.
The lethal forward tucked home in the 41st minute and this turned out to be the decisive moment of the game.
The win takes UCU Lady Cardinals to second place on 6 points same as leaders She Corporate FC.
She Corporate stunned Kawempe Muslim at MUBS Arena, Nakawa with a 2-0 win thanks to goals from Grace Nasango and Danielita Favor Nambatya.
It should be noted that the pair also scored in their opening game against Uganda Martyrs which they also won with the same scoreline.
Elsewhere, defending Champions Lady Doves continued to struggle, suffering defeat at the hands of Uganda Martyrs Lubaga FC at Katusabe Stadium in Masindi.
The ‘Believers’ were humbled at home 3-1 with goals by Latifah Nakasi, Catherine Nagadya and Elizabeth Nakigozi for Uganda Martyrs while captain Riticia Nabbosa got the consolation for the home side.
Olila High School WFC were the biggest winners on matchday two, routing Rines SS WFC 5-0 at Soroti Stadium.
Grace Aluka and Cecelia Apiding netted a brace apiece while Siporosa Amoding scored the other goal for the Soroti based side.
The game between Tooro Queens and Kampala Queens in Fort Portal ended goalless.
