Also, Nyamityobora were 2-1 winners over Luwero United at the Kakyeka stadium in Mbarara City.

Therefore, Thursday’s matches were a continuation from Wednesday. Tooro United overcame visiting Proline 1-0 to out-pace Nyamityobora from the summit of the Rwenzori group table standings.

Striker Marvin Oshaba struck the only goal for Tooro United in that match. Tooro United restored their summit position with 20 points, two better than second placed Nyamityobora.

Away in Kabale, Kigezi Home Boyz piped Water 1-0 at the Kabale Municipal Stadium as Terrazo and Tiles played to a 1-all draw with Ndejje University at Kakyeka in Mbarara city.

Elgon Group:

Despite the 2-all draw away to Kataka in Mbale, Arua Hill remained top of the Elgon group with 17 points.

Gaddafi wasted the opportunity to overtake Arua Hill when they lost 2-0 away to Maroons at the Prisons stadium in Luzira in a match officiated by FIFA Referee Ali Sabila Chelengat.

Maroons scored two quick goals from Bronson Nsubuga and Fred Amaku before they jealously protected their lead.

There were two red cards in this match; one per side for second bookable offences.

Maroons’ Musa Ssali Junior was sent off in the 65th minute while Gaddafi’s Naziru Sserwadda got the marching orders in the second of added minutes before the final whistle.
