U-17 Total CAF Africa Cup of Nations Zonal Qualifiers

All the thirty-five players on the U17 Uganda National Football Team (The Cubs) passed the Magnetic Resignation Imaging (MRI) tests.
The good news was revealed by the team coordinator and FUFA Youth Football Development Manager Bashir Mutyaba upon release of results in Mengo, Kampala on Friday, 13th November 2020.

‘They underwent the MRI test in Kampala at Mengo Hospital on Tuesday this week and the good news is that all the boys passed the test.’ Bashir Mutyaba disclosed.
Mutyaba tagged the feat as a “positive development” for the head coach Hamza Lutalo and the rest of the technical team.
‘This is a positive development for the head coach and his entire working team as all the players passed the tests. The technical team will pick the final 20man squad that will be used in the forthcoming tournament.’ Mutyaba added.


Meanwhile, on Saturday afternoon, the players had the first session before going for one-hour long theory class that was conducted by the Vincent “Titi Camara” Tumusiime.


In the theory session, the players were taken through different aspects in life-style with much emphasis being put on moral and discipline.
The U-17 qualifiers will take place in Rwanda from 13 – 28 December 2020.
A total of 9 countries will take part; divided into three groups.
Hosts Rwanda are grouped with Eritrea and South Sudan in group A.
The reigning champions Uganda are in group B with Ethiopia and Kenya as group C has Sudan, Djibouti and Tanzania.
