CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup

Uganda Cranes preparations for the forthcoming CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup has kicked off with a single training session at the StarTimes Stadium Lugogo on Wednesday Morning.
Eighteen (18) players turned up for the training that was conducted by head Coach Johnathan McKinstry and his assistants Abdallah Mubiru and Livingstone Mbabazi.

KCCA FC and Proline FC players who still have league games did not take part in the training session as the decision was taken by the coach to excuse them from the session. They will report for training on 3rd December 2019.
Abdu Karim Watambala was also not part of the team that trained on Wednesday because he is finalising with his examinations at St. Mary’s Kitende.
‘We have started our process of preparing for CECAFA tournament. It is a tournament that we want to do well but it is part of our overall plan to develop a strong team for future tournaments. I have been with most of these players mainly during the previous regional tour and it is a great start’ said Uganda Cranes Head Coach McKinstry

Training will resume on Thursday with one training session (9am) at StarTimes stadium, Lugogo.
The team is preparing for the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup to be hosted in Kampala from 7th– 19th December 2019.
