South Africa Vs Uganda Cranes
At Orlando Stadium, Soweto
The Uganda Cranes delegation to South Africa has quickly acclimatized to the chilly weather conditions prior to the international build up match on Thursday, 10th June 2021.
The team safely traveled aboard Uganda Airlines Bombardier to South Africa on Tuesday morning before they checked in at Protea Hotel Roodepoort in Johannesburg.


As planned, they were joined by the South African based duo of Moses Waiswa (Super Sport United) and goalkeeper Ismael Watenga (Chippa United).
They were well received by former Uganda Cranes captain Denis Onyango.
Later in the evening, the team conducted its very first training session at the SAFA Technical Centre in Johannesburg.
Head coach Abdallah Mubiru is humbled for the smooth preparations thus far and is optimistic about a good performance come to the game on Thursday, 10th June 2021.


‘We trained well for a week in Kampala before traveling to South Africa where we reached safely. The morale is high and everyone is mentally and physically ready for the game’ Mubiru disclosed.
One of the youngsters on the team, Allan Okello is more than ready to give 100 percent in the international build up match.

‘I am happy to be part of the team. I am ready to deliver 100 percent in this match, and so are the rest of the teammates’ Okello noted.
The team will conduct their second and last training session on Wednesday evening under floodlights.
