Cranes Captain optimistic of positive results in Mauritania
As Uganda Canes prepare for their 2015 Nations cup qualification match for the group stages away match against Mauritania, team captain Andy Mwesigwa is confident of positive results.
‘History is against us when it comes to winning away matches but we promise to write this off’ noted Andy Mwesigwa
‘We have done enough preparations and ready to play our hearts out to complete the unfinished business’ added Mwesigwa.
URA striker Sentongo speaks out on his recall
Robert Sentongo last featured for Uganda Cranes in the 2014 FIFA World cup qualifier match against Senegal in Stade de Marrakech, Morocco. He says that he is excited about the opportunity given to him by the national team coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic.
‘I am thrilled by this chance given to me and I vow not to blow it away by working hard to satisfy the coach’said Sentongo.
Goals needed-Micho
The Cranes struggled on several attempts to win away from home however Micho has promised to go on offensive to earn good results in Mauritania.
‘Mauritania is a good side. You cannot defend for 90 minutes if you want positive results. We shall play to score more goals not to defend our two goals. But the key aspect is to prepare my players mentally and physically fit, and then we shall get the job done’ remarked the Serbian.
Algerian officials to handle Mauritania vs Uganda match
Caf has released a list of officials who will officiate the match between Mauritania against Uganda at the Office du Complex Olympique de Nouakchot stadium- Nouakchot in Mauritania
