National U-17 to play Mayuge’s Tawheed

The National U-17 football team is set to play a build-up game today against Tawheed Senior Secondary School in Mayuge. With the youngsters preparing for the return leg of the Africa Youth Championship on 28th Jun against Seychelles, head coach Matia Lule is making use of all opportunities to give his boys playing time.

The Cubs won the first leg 2-1 at the Unity stadium in Seychelles last weekend thanks to goal by Pius Obuya and Charles Ssebutinde.

As of now coach Matia will have to continue with preparations minus two players Emmanuel Olinga and Mpaata Imran who are still in Kenya for studies but will be available for duty next week. There has also been an inclusion to the team as Old Kampala’s Mugume Ashraf arrived today in Njeru and will undergo the mandatory MRI test on Monday.
