Uganda Cranes coach Johnathan McKinstry says that the match against Niger on Thursday will give his players a true test and kind of football ahead of the Total CHAN 2020 group stage fixture with Togo.
Cranes will play their final match of the Pre-CHAN Mini tournament at the Annex 1 Omnsiprorts in Yaounde- Cameroon before travelling to Douala on Friday morning. Uganda’s Contingent has been in the West African Country since 29th December 2020 in camp aimed at preparing of the CHAN Finals.

After Wednesday’s training session at the Annex B Olembe, Paul Biya Stadium, McKinstry who is close to naming his final squad for the tournament says that he happy with the preparations.
‘Niger play physical, fast and direct football. The biggest aspect of the game against Niger will be for the players to understand what kind of football they will face against Togo. A lot of the young boys in the squad have not come across this kind of football. Not many of them have the experience. Tomorrow is preparation for Togo. It is time to get their feet in the water so that they can understand and hopefully we can put up another top performance like in the previous two games’
McKinstry also added that there will be changes for the match against Niger tomorrow.
