Striker Sharon Nadunga netted both goals as Kawempe Muslim Ladies Football Club kicked off their campaign with a 2-0 win over Kampala Queens in the FUFA Women Super League match at IUIU Campus, Kabojja. Allen Nasaazi looked sharp with he display as she set up both goals for Nadunga who was impressive on the evening.

The visitors took the lead in the 35th minute when National team player Nadunga got her name on the score sheet off a brilliant assist by Nasaazi before she did the same in the 55th minute. Midfield star Shakira Nyinagahirwa had the chance to add to her team’s tally after good display in the opponent’s goal area but blew the chance with ball flying over the bar.

New head coach Hamza Lutalo will now go back to the drawing board and plan for the next fixture against Tooro Queens away in Fort portal while Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have a tie with She Corporate.
Sunday Games
She Corporate FC and UCU Lady Cardinals began the 2021/22 FUFA Women Super League on a good note, registering wins on Sunday.
The Sharks were the biggest winners on Sunday, defeating Uganda Martyrs LFC 2-0 in the game played at MUBS Arena in Nakawa.

New signing Grace Nassongo opened the scores in the 18th minute while lanky forward Favour Nambatya added the other at the stroke of halftime.
UCU Lady Cardinals made the long trip to Soroti and secured a 1-0 win thanks to Hasifa Nassuna’s strike.
At Wakissha Grounds, new entrants Rines WFC and Tooro Queens played to a one all draw. Yasmeen Nalukwago scored for the home side to cancel out Mary Kabacureezi’s opener.

Defending Champions Lady Doves started their title defence with a goalless draw against new entrants She Maroons FC.
