FUFA Women Elite League

Bunyaruguru Girls 0-1 Rines SS WFC

Rines SS WFC continued with brilliant start to the FUFA Women Elite League securing their second win in as many games.

Despite not playing well, Rines SS WFC did just enough to overcome Bunyaruguru Girls on Sunday at the FUFA Technical Centre.

Bunyaruguru will have themselves to blame for failing to put away the several scoring chances created on the day.

Norah Alupo, Halima Katushabe and Aisha Nakintu all came close but failed to score with Rines SS goalkeeper Elsie Najjemba standing tall on the day.

It was defender Peace Aloyo who scored the lone goal of the game, coming twenty minutes from time.

Skipper Shakira Nalule won a free kick outside the area and Aloyo with full power fired into the roof of the net.

Bunyaruguru were reduced to ten players with midfielder Patience Kekimuri sent off for a second bookable offence.

The two teams will return to action on Tuesday with Rines SS playing their final group game against Kataka SHE while Bunyaruguru will take on Town View SS.
