The FUFA Juniors League 2026 is set to deliver another competitive season as Uganda’s top junior teams take centre stage across the country.
Organised by FUFA, the league continues to play a vital role in youth development, talent identification and competitive exposure for young footballers aligned to senior league clubs.
Below is an overview of the groups, host venues, league format and fixture structure for the 2026 season.
League structure and grouping
The league is divided into two pools, namely the Hat-trick Group and the Treble Group, each comprising eight teams.

Matches will be played across approved school grounds, stadiums and training centres spread across Uganda to ensure regional balance and accessibility.
Hat-trick Group: teams and venues
The Hat-trick Group features clubs largely concentrated in Kampala, Hoima, Yumbe and Bombo, with fixtures hosted at the following venues.
Calvary FC JT will host matches at Midigo Primary School Playground in Yumbe District. Kitara FC JT will host at The Royals Park in Butema, Hoima District. Buhimba United Saints FC JT will play at Kigaaya Primary School Playground in Hoima District. UPDF FC JT will host fixtures at the Bombo Military Barracks Ground in Bombo.
NEC FC JT will host their matches at the Coffee Grounds in Bugolobi, Kampala. Maroons FC JT will play at the Prisons Ground in Luzira, Kampala. KCCA FC SA will host fixtures at MTN Omondi Stadium in Lugogo, Kampala. URA FC JT will play their home matches at Hormisdallen Nursery and Primary School in Gayaza.
Treble Group: teams and venues
The Treble Group draws teams from Wakiso, Kampala, Buikwe and Mbarara, offering a wide geographic spread across the country.
Entebbe UPPC FC JT will host matches at Bugonga Fisheries Ground in Wakiso District. Vipers SC JT will play at St. Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, Wakiso District. Express FC JT will host fixtures at Hamz Stadium in Nakivubo, Kampala. SC Villa JT will host matches at East High School in Ntinda, Kampala.
Police FC JT will play at Kira Road Police Arena in Kamwokya, Kampala. Lugazi FC JT will host at Lugazi FC Stadium in Buikwe District. BUL FC JT will play at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru, Buikwe District. Mbarara City FC JT will host matches at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City.
Competition format and regulations
The league will be played over three rounds. Rounds One and Two will follow a standard home-and-away format within each group.
Third round fixtures will be determined in accordance with the FUFA Juniors League Regulations and the FUFA Competitions Rules. The determination will consider head-to-head results, senior team league rankings and disciplinary records accumulated during the first two rounds.
Fixtures designated as curtain raisers will precede senior team matches or accommodate rescheduled games.
Fixtures overview
Match Day 1 will kick off on Saturday, 7th March 2026 with all matches scheduled for 3:00 PM unless otherwise stated. The first round will run from March to April 2026.
The league will pause during the AFCON U17 Final Tournament scheduled from 25 April to 15 May 2026.
Action will resume with Match Day 8 on 23rd May 2026. The second round will continue until early July 2026.
The third round and final phase will run from 25th July to 5th September 2026. The season will culminate in the Final Play-Off scheduled for Saturday, 26th September 2026.
Fixtures remain subject to adjustments based on Youth National Team engagements, school examination calendars and school competitions.
