Matchday 17 of the FUFA Big League delivered significant shifts across the table, as the second round gathered momentum with decisive results at both ends.
The headline result came at Ebenezer, where Paidha Black Angels SC stunned leaders Blacks Power FC with a commanding 2–0 away victory. The result completed a strong run for Paidha, who had earlier edged Kataka FC 2–1, underlining their growing influence in the promotion race.
Ntugasaze FC were held to a 1–1 draw by Onduparaka FC, a result that kept them within the leading pack, while Kigezi Homeboyz FC secured a narrow 1–0 win over Wakiso Giants FC to maintain their strong push.
Elsewhere, Young Elephant FC continued their fine form with a 3–1 victory against Iganga United FC, while Kiyinda Boys FC edged Bunyaruguru United FC 1–0.
There was also a crucial win for Mbale Heroes FC, who defeated CATDA FC 2–1 to boost their survival hopes. Meanwhile, Nebbi Central FC registered a 1–0 victory over Kataka FC, and Kaaro Karungi FC claimed an important 1–0 away win against Soltilo Bright Stars FC.

Standings after Matchday 17
The results have tightened the standings considerably, with four clubs now level on 29 points. Ntugasaze FC, Paidha Black Angels SC, Kigezi Homeboyz FC and Blacks Power FC are separated only by head-to-head ranking as defined by the FUFA Competition Rules 2025.
Young Elephant Academy FC moved to 27 points to stay within striking distance of the top four, while Bunyaruguru United FC, Kataka FC and Soltilo Bright Stars FC remain firmly in contention just behind.
In the mid-table, Iganga United FC hold position on 23 points, with Nebbi Central FC and Kiyinda Boys FC on 21 points. Wakiso Giants FC follow on 19 points.
At the lower end, Kaaro Karungi FC and Onduparaka FC are level on 18 points, just above Mbale Heroes FC on 17, while CATDA FC remain bottom on 16 points.
Paidha Black Angels SC and Nebbi Central FC have each had two points and two goals deducted.
