FTBFWSL: She Corporate cruise past Asubo Ladies; Kampala Queens held in thrilling draw to conclude matchday 12

She Corporate FC opened the second round of the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League in emphatic fashion, securing a commanding 3–0 victory over Asubo Ladies FC at Kampala Quality Ground.

The Sharks imposed themselves from the outset and controlled possession while dictating the tempo through a fluid 4-3-3 system. Jesca Namanda spearheaded the attack with a goal in each half to take her season tally to ten and earn the Player of the Match accolade. Sandra Kisakye added the third in the 74th minute with a composed finish from range to crown a dominant display.

She Corporate’s tactical approach proved decisive as they applied a high press in midfield to force turnovers and exploit defensive gaps. Their full-backs provided width and overlap to stretch the Asubo backline. Namanda’s opener came from an individual effort with a powerful strike from the edge of the area that gave Olga Lukia no chance. Her second followed intelligent movement as she latched onto a well-timed pass from Husna Mpanja, highlighting sharp positional awareness and clinical finishing.

The victory moves She Corporate level on 29 points with Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC, though the latter maintain the advantage on head-to-head record.

Elsewhere, Kampala Queens WFC were held to a 2–2 draw by Rines WFC at MTN Omondi Stadium. Peace Muduwa gave the hosts the lead before the break, but Rines responded after restart. Patricia Nakato Nanyanzi converted from the penalty spot to level matters before Phionah Arach capitalised on space behind the defensive line to put the visitors ahead. In the closing stages, Kampala Queens increased intensity with a high press and greater width, which led to Zaituni Namaganda scoring a late equaliser in the 82nd minute. The result leaves Kampala Queens in third place, seven points off the summit.

On Saturday, Uganda Martyrs WFC defeated Lady Doves FC 2–0, while St Noa Girls FC and Kawempe Muslim SS WFC played out a 1–1 draw. Olila High School WFC and She Maroons FC settled for a goalless stalemate, as did Amus College WFC and Makerere University WFC. Matchday 12 concluded with a total of 11 goals across six matches, underlining the competitive nature of the league as the second round gathers momentum.
