Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League: Match Day 5 Preview

After four rounds of intriguing action, the 2025/2026 season is already heating up and matchday five promises thrilling action with 6 fixtures evenly distributed on Saturday and Sunday.

On Saturday, She Corporate FC travel to face Lady Doves FC, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC host She Maroons FC while Amus College WFC welcome Asubo Ladies FC.

In Masindi, Lady Doves FC, who are still searching for their breakthrough win host She Corporate FC at Katusabe Ground. Table leaders She Corporate have asserted their dominance in the early stages, showcasing good attacking strength and a solid defensive record that reflects their firm determination, however, having failed to secure a win against Lady Doves in their last three encounters at Katusabe Ground, makes this match an important test to the progress the sharks are making. The attacking trio of Sandra Kisakye, Rebecca Nakato and Jesca Namanda has been ruthless this season, and their form will be pivotal if the sharks are to secure a win. For the believers, they will be keen to make a statement with a win at home but they’ll need to be at their defensive best to contain the in-form sharks, beating them could be a catalyst for revival, defeat will pile more pressure.

Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC who have set the tone early this season with high intensity attacking footballhost She Maroons FC at Kawempe Muslim SS Ground.

For the warriors to extend their winning run, the trio of Jovia Nakagolo, Asia Nakibuuka and Latifah Nakasi will need to be more clinical in tight spaces, leveraging their recent form to overcome an opponent that makes it physically uncomfortable to frustrate high ranking opposition. The warriors strong form and home advantage will give them a boost but they’ll we need to kill off games more decisively to avoid a repeat of their last two nail-biting finishes. She Maroons on the other hand will need to capitalize on the scoring opportunities as they arise, Norah Alupo and Lillian Kasuubo possess the attacking threat but they will face a stern test against the warriors’ defense, which has been improving game by game.

Still on Saturday, Amus College WFC will be eager to get back to winning ways when they host Asubo Ladies FC at Amus College Stadium. With a resilient style that can grind out results, and quality firepower upfront, they will be confident of a positive outcome, especially with the return of star player Shayline Opisa, who missed the last two games due to national team duties with the Harambe Starlets. Playing at home, the hosts will aim to be compact and solid to secure a much-needed victory. However, they won’t have an easy ride, as the visitors are riding high on confidence after a spirited 2-2 draw against the defending champions. Asubo Ladies FC will build on that momentum to cause an upset again. Playmaker Shadia Babirye is in good form and will ready to drive the team forward.

Matchday 5 will conclude on Sunday with three fixtures, Kampala Queens FC host Olila High School FC, St Noa Girls-Zana welcome Rines SS WFC while Makerere University WFC take on Uganda Martyrs High School WFC.

Defending champions Kampala Queens FC aim to get back on track when they host Olila High WFC at Omondi stadium. A is slight problem is beginning to develop for Firew Asefa, the queens are not looking solid defensively and that could prove costly. However, their goal-scoring ability is impressive, with the highest number of goals scored this season. The creative midfield duo of Catherine Nagadya and Kamiyati Naigaga will be key, using their progressive passing to Olila’s defense and give the Queens the edge they need. Top scorer Kamiyati Naigaga will be keen to extend her scoring streak to five games. Olila H/S WFC on the hand, will need to press well and defend in numbers, if they succeed in suppressing space between the lines. They might frustrate the defending champions.

Makerere University WFC, who have had a mixed start to the season host Uganda Martyrs H/S WFC at Makerere University Ground. The visitors are yet to taste victory this season but have shown attacking promise in the previous games. Its not too late to turn things around, they need to solidify their defense and capitalize on scoring opportunities as they arrive. Wingers Nusulah Nakintu and Brenda Munyana will be crucial in driving the team forward. Makerere will rely on moments of individual brilliance to secure a positive result at home.

At kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Rines SS WFC who are seeking their first win of the season, host debutants St Noa Girls-Zana FC who are having a good season so far, will go all out to close the gap on the leaders, with Dorcas Lwalisa, Esther Babirye and Patricia Nayiga leading the charge in attack to unlock the host’s defense. Rines on the other hand will likely adopt a more conservative approach, looking to exploit spaces on the counter-attack.
