CAPACITY BUILDING: The 2nd Intermediary training underway at Jevine Hotel

The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has conducted a second training of future Intermediaries at Jevine Hotel, Rubaga.

58 participants have attended the two day workshop that will end on Tuesday 15th December 2020.

By following the Covid19 regulations and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), participants were grouped into two classes.

Intermediary regulations, FUFA and its Development Programmes, dispute resolutions, FUFA Communications, ITC concept and DTMS, FUFA regulations on status and transfer of players and administrative procedure of intermediaries are some of the modules that were presented to the participants.

The FUFA 2nd Vice President Darius Mugoye representing FUFA President Eng. Moses Magogo graced the opening ceremony.

Decolas Kizza (FUFA Deputy CEO -Football), Hajjat Aisha Nalule (FUFA Competitions Director), Ahmed Hussein (FUFA Communications Director), Denis Lukambi (FUFA Legal Manager), and emmnaule Kazoora (IT MAnager) are the Instructors.

While making his remarks during the opening ceremony, the FUFA 2nd Vice President Mugoye urged the participants to be fair when handling players’ business.

FUFA has a vision of becoming the Number one football Nation in Africa on and off the field. To achieve this, we have to go professional through having more Intermediaries that can handle the business of players outside the pitch. A footballer may not be good at negotiating contracts but we urge you to be fair when handling the business with players and Clubs.’ said Mugoye

The two day course is supposed to open your eyes. Once the two days are done try to interest yourself in reading and understanding more about the game of football’ Mugoye added

The training will climax with an examination assessment to help further streamline the roles and duties of intermediaries since they are part of the football industry.
