CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers 2021: 8 Ugandan officials assigned duties

A total of eight Ugandan officials have been appointed to officiate at the forthcoming CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Qualifiers 2021.

The Qualifiers for the inaugural edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League will get underway this Saturday, 28th August 2021 in Nairobi, Kenya with eight teams from the CECAFA region taking part.

The Ugandan contingent comprises members of the zone secretariat, General Coordinator, and match officials.

Andrew Jackson Oryada is a member of the marketing and media team while FUFA Events Manager, Leila Nankya will serve as the head of Protocol at the tournament.

FUFA Football Development Officer, Ali Mwebe will be one of the General Coordinators, a role he has served at different CAF Championships.

The match officials will be headed by Hajjat Aisha Nalule, the FUFA Competitions Director who will be one of the four match commissioners. Retired FIFA Referee, Catherine Adipo has been assigned as a member of the Referees Committee.

FIFA Certified female referees Shamira Nabadda (Centre), Lydia Nantabo and Marex Nkumbi Nakitto (both assistant referees) will also officiate at the Championship.

FUFA Women Super League Champions, Lady Doves are pooled in Group A alongside Simba Queens (Tanzania), FAD FC (Djibouti), and PVP FC (Burundi).

The Champions will represent CECAFA Zone at the final tournament later this year in Cairo, Egypt.
