23 participants enroll for FUFA Level One coaching course in Kabale

FUFA Beginners’ Coaching Course 9th-14th September in Kabale

The FUFA Level One coaching course in Kabale has entered its third day on Monday with participants enrolling for technical expertise.

The course that started on Saturday 1st September 2018 with 23 participants is supported by US based organisation Soccer2Unite and HAM Sports Marketing Agency. The participants also contributed to the course by meeting the registration fees.

Modules of the course include components of Coaching  and Training, Conditioning  and Tactics, Match Analysis, Small sized games, Youth Development Coaching, refresher on Laws of the Game, written Exams and Practicals for the 8-days.

FUFA Instructor Peter Makanga heads the tutorial team in Kabale.

Makanga is also a CAF A Licenced coach, FA 1st Sport 4 Level2 Coach, Technical Director at Edgars Youth Program, Former  SC Villa, Bunamwaya/Vipers SC and Uganda Cranes player.

Kabale Central Division Chairman Simon Arineitwe was the Guest of Honor during the opening ceremony. He admired FUFA for extending coaching courses to Kabale. He thanked Soccer2Unite for supporting coaches.

‘I thank FUFA for extending coaching coruses to the Western region. It is a symbol of developing football here. I emphasise the participants to promote discipline and endeavour to continue studying to attain the highest ranks in coaching’ said Arineitwe

‘ I want to thank FUFA for always extending these courses to Kabale. They have helped our coaches so much, Central division has a team and I will pay for our coach to come for FUFA Beginners’ course’ added the Central Division Chairman Arineitwe.

‘I think these courses will help you learn a lot and I am waiting to see disciplined coaches on the touchline. I am also a football supporter, I appreciate Soccer2Unite for helping the coaches and even where there is no help, stay committed on attending these courses’ Arineitwe concluded.

Sports journalist Andrew Amanya and referee Gilbert Ngyendo are the coordinators of the two courses.

 

The coaches attending the course finished beginners’ coaching course a year ago.

Kabale will host another coaching course for Beginners from 9th-14th September 2018.
