The 2025/2026 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League season has been launched today morning Wednesday 1st October 2025 at Finance Trust Bank Headquarters on Lumumba Avenue.
The event was attended by the FUFA Competitions Director Hajjat Aisha Nalule, Mr Lubega Paul Percy, the Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at Finance Trust Bank and a selection of FUFA Women Super League Club coaches.
This will be the second year since Finance Trust Bank and FUFA entered a partnership worth two billion shillings in August 2024 and the Head of marketing and Corporate affairs of the former is exceedingly elated with the dividends so far.
‘We are happy with the partnership that aligns with our objective of uplifting women. We are committed to once again award the best performing players, coaches and journalists every month. Hajjat Aisha Nalule, the FUFA Competitions Director asserted the readiness of FUFA ahead of the new season.
‘As FUFA we are ready for the new season. We have already released the fixtures and licenses. We have also supported each club in the league with 20 branded Janzi Zakayo balls, the official match ball of the league. We call upon clubs to enhance security and have ambulances during the matches,’ Hajjat Aisha Nalule.
The coaches expressed their readiness and revealed targets ahead of the new season.
‘We are focused to retaining our crown, our ultimate target is very clear its to win back to back titles. We have replaced the positions of the departed players and we are ready to go’ Sharon Kizza, Assistant Head Coach Kampala Queens FC.
‘The team is in good shape and we believe in building talent. Our strength is in the team not individuals. We shall cope without Zaina Namuleme. Our target is to win the league’ Fred Ndawula, Head Coach Makerere University WFC.
‘We are looking forward to a good season, not only the opening match against Kampala Queens FC. We want to win all 22 games and at the end of the season become Champions,’ Ayub Khalifa Kiyingi. Head Coach Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.
‘We are looking forward to finishing in the top three positions. We have prepared well and corrected our mistakes. We want to start on a high by beating She Corporate FC on Sunday,’ Saaka John Oscar, Assistant Head Coach Uganda Martyrs High School WFC
‘The competition is high, but we are ready for the task ahead of the new season. We may not have the financial muscle to attract big-name players like Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC and Kampala Queens FC, but we have new additions that can equally compete with them. ‘We do not want to limit our players to a specific target, but we want to win every game that comes our way starting with Asubo Ladies FC,’ Muhammad Ahmed, Assistant Head Coach She Maroons FC.
The 2025/2026 Season gets underway this Friday, 3rd October 2025 at 4 pm with Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC hosting defending Champions Kampala Queens FC at Kawempe Muslim Ground.
On Saturday, 4th October, Asubo Ladies FC will take on She Maroons FC at Kampala Quality Ground, while She Corporate FC will play Uganda Martyrs High School at FUFA Technical Centre Njeru. The day’s action will be rounded off with Amus College WFC welcoming St Noa Girls Zana to Amus College Stadium.
On Sunday, 5th October, Lady Doves FC will host Olila High School WFC at Katusabe Ground, while Makerere University will host Rines SS WFC at Makerere University Ground.
All weekend matches are scheduled to kick off at 10:00 AM.
